Construction Technician

About the Role

To complete construction and concrete projects in a safe and timely manner based on project deadlines.


This is a full-time position, 40-60+ hours per week. Rotating weekends on call.

 

  • Preparing construction area, gathering and delivering materials, utilizing machines and tools, and cleaning up the construction site

  • Knowledge of construction materials, including concrete

  • Operate a variety of machines and equipment used for construction projects

  • Overseeing the operating and maintenance of equipment and machines used in construction - ensuring all are in safe working order

  • Work in compliance with plans and instructions from supervisors and/or experienced workers

  • Able to follow direction, yet work independently 

  • Communicating issues in a timely fashion

  • On call for emergency breakdowns

Requirements

  • Be punctual and manage time well

  • Observe general safety of people, animals, and equipment

  • Possess physical stamina and strength

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Willing to learn

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Be trustworthy and respectful

  • Follow established policies and routines


Compensation

  • Starting pay is $14+/hour

  • Housing is provided, if available

  • Uniforms provided upon completion of 3 months

  • Company contribution to medical insurance; employee paid vision and dental plans

  • Eligible for 401K participation upon completion of 6 months 

  • Eligible for group life insurance upon completion of 12 months

  • Eligible for vacation upon completion of 12 months
