Driver/Hauler

About the Role

To safely drive and transport livestock, trailers and flat beds.


This is a full-time position. Work may vary from 40-60 hours/week depending on season, weather and workload.


  • Safely hauling livestock to other worksite locations in a timely manner

  • Hauling hay and other items depending upon need and season.

  • Operate all equipment in compliance with company’s operating safety policies and procedures.

  • Equipment includes: Truck/trailer, flatbeds, silage trucks and tractors

  • Able to perform simple maintenance and repairs

  • Able to read and monitor gauges, dials and other indicators

  • Report mechanical issues

  • Ensure company equipment, materials, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in safe manner.

  • Able to follow direction, yet work independently

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Be punctual and manage time well

  • Maintain all applicable licenses needed to perform job

  • Have a general knowledge of equipment

  • Lift 50 pounds or more

  • Willing to work weekends depending upon need

  • Observe general safety of people, animals, and equipment

  • Willing to learn

  • Be a team player

  • Be trustworthy and respectful

  • Follow established policies and routines

Compensation

  • Starting pay is $16+/hour

  • Housing is provided, if available

  • Uniforms provided upon completion of 3 months

  • Company contribution to medical insurance; employee paid vision and dental plans

  • Eligible for 401K participation upon completion of 6 months 

  • Eligible for group life insurance upon completion of 12 months

  • Eligible for vacation upon completion of 12 months
